Yay for summer!

On Saturday after we ran a 5K we went to Yuba Lake. We've always decided we don't need a boat, we just need friends that have one! :) It took some coaxing but we were able to get Elise on the tube. We were going so fast, you can see the excitement in my face! Later after Elise was done with the tub Candice and I got to go a little faster, fast enough that my swim bottoms fell off! Don't worry I was able to retrieve them. It was very cute though, after we fell off Elise kept asking of we were ok. :) Jason is by far the most favorite uncle!

Driving on a boat does this to babies. But Melody still had a great time. This was the first time she was on a boat, well outside of my belly. :)

Brian was really tired after running a 5K, but I literally had to force him out of the boat to get him in the water. But he did thank me for making him.

Such a happy family!

Thank you Jason, Candice, Lorrie and Dave. As always we had a great time! We'll see you in a few weeks for more boating!

I love free days.

Yesterday was a free day at This is the Place State Park. (Compliments of Jon Huntsman Sr.) When you say the word free I'm their! It was fun as always. We rode the big and little train, pet some animals
Some baby goats

A lamb

Bunny's

I just really liked this picture

She was such a good girl, as long as she could see what we were doing she was just peachy!

Grandma Nina and Elise

Elise thought the free ice cream was ok.

Melody LOVED IT! I think she ate my mom's and Elise's

Elise was a little miffed (and so was I) that even though we were first in line to get on the train some boys (who their moms weren't watching them) ran a head of us and got the seat Elise wanted. Therefore Elise wouldn't smile for the camera. Sorry sweetheart, but as my dad says it, "Life's hard; then you die!"

We had a great time and made it back to the car right as a down pour of rain came! Great timing :)

Staining a cupcake dance!?

So I didn't know what to label this post as so I decided to put everything in the title!
Melody got her first taste of a cupcake, and couldn't get enough! I think her first birthday will be a lot more fun to watch her eat her cake than at Elise's first birthday. Elise just picked at it, it was quiet boring.

Brian got a good taste of yard work on Saturday. It took him 7 hours, but her got the deck stained. It looks so good. I thought this picture showed a good before and after picture. Oh and did I mention he also ran the Pony Express 5k that morning! My husband is my hero! (I heart you moose)

My girls are becoming such good dancers, well to me they are. Here's some good footage of both them. Enjoy!

Hot Hot HOT!

We had such a great time in AZ! We went for a quick weekend trip, and to also get Jason and Jen's old table and chairs. We were going non stop the whole time be it was so much fun. We got to go hiking, swimming, go on a double date with Jen and Jason. Oh and can't forget shopping and The Pumpkin Patch (it's a great children's clothing store) Thanks Jason and Jen for letting us crash your place. It's always fun with you guys.

It's all gone!

I've been debating and waiting for this day. Elise's hair has been so long and hard to maintain for a while. So we both went in and DONATED our hair to Locks of Love. Elise isn't even 3 yet and had about 9-10 inches to donate. I had about 9-10 inches also. This was the 4th time in 6 years I've donated my hair. Needless to say Elise and I were very bless when it comes to hair :)
We went to Brian's cousin, Lindsay Lane she is great! I've never had a hair cut with her that I didn't like!
Making the first cut!
Watching a movie and eating Swedish fish. I pulled out everything to get her to stay still.

Almost done!
Look at all our hair. On our heads and in our hands!
We love our hair!

Congrats Jenny and Fez!

Brian's sister Jenny and our new brother in law "Fez" (his actual name is Brian, but you can see how that would be confusing in the Family) got married in the Salt Lake Temple yesterday. It was such a great day, the weather was perfect, they looked perfect! So happy for both of them. Welcome to the family Fez.

An attempt at a family picture

My girls in their princess dresses

All the girls in the wedding party had pink shoes, including my girls. :)

Jenny and Fez. Fez is half Hawaiian so they and the whole wedding party had real hawian lei's.

We tried to get Elise to slow dance with her dad, but apparently this is the only form of dance she knows how to do. :)

Happy 9 Month Day!

Happy 9 months to my Melody!
As you can see she is the Happiest baby ever!
She went to the doctor yesterday for her 9 month check up, the only thing they could find wrong was that she had a ear infection :(
But other than that the NP (nurse practitioner) was very impressed and happy to see where Melody is developmentally and surprised where she is at physically.
Here's the stats:
Height: 29.4" (95%)
Weight: 18.7 lbs (50%)
Head circ: 17" (25%)
I pulled out Elise's 9 month stats and they are almost exactly the same. They are an ounce different in weight and I think 1/4 inch difference in height! Crazy! I'm told on a daily basis how tall my kids are. They are in the size double they're age. Elise is 2 and in a 4T. Melody is 9 months and in 18 month clothing. I sure hope they like playing basketball or volleyball, they'll sure fit in their!
But back to Melody.... she is crawling, feeding herself, clapping, saying mama and dada and just loves eye contact with anyone! She is really the best baby. I've been blessed with 2 pretty mello children, I'm kind of afraid to keep having more kids. I'm bound to have 1 hellion! But I'll just keep enjoying my girls for now. :)
