mothers day program.

Published with Blogger-droid v2.0.10

Melody's preschool classs did a little Mothers Day program. It was super cute, they sang us some songs then gave us a plant. Their teachers also gave asked them some questions about their mom's. I love when they do this, because their answers are so random or really honest.

My mom looks prettiest when:
She puts on her jewelry

My mom's favorite food is:
a carrot.

She is happy when:
I smile at her.

My mom is 21 years old. :)

If my mom could go anywhere she would go:
to Walmart.

Her best friend is:
Tammy

Her job is:
Sweeping the kitchen floor.

I Love my Mom because:
Whe she smiles at me it makes me happy.

Love you Deiters!

daddy daughter dance:-)

Elise's class did a talent show. Elise was too scared to do it by herself, so I told,  I mean asked Brian to do out with her.  SO. FREAKING. CUTE!

Big Boy!

This guy sure is keeping his Mommy and Daddy on their toes! We put Ray in a big boy bed around the beginning of March. I made his quilt on his bed. I've set a goal to have a quilt, I've made, on every bed in our home. He's been doing pretty well, but I'll admit I've locked him in his room a few times. :)

Also, this guy is POTTY TRAINED! AT 21 1/2 months he decided he was ready to be a bigger boy! I wasn't planning on having him start this soon, but when he would tell me he wanted to sit on the potty everyday for a week, and every time I'd put him on he'd actually pee! I couldn't really ignore that. He's doing pretty awesome, just #2 is still a challenge. But it has been for all of my kids when I've potty trained them.

I'm so proud of my big boy! Brian mentioned the other day that even though were only going to have one boy it's a really good thing he fills that void with being so dang cute!

Love you Ray Ray. Mommy and Daddy are so proud of you!

It’s…..

We went in for the big ultrasound today. We decided to take Elise and Melody with us, I wanted to them to feel as involved as possible with this pregnancy. Around the time Ray was 6 months old Elise started asking where her baby sister was. I told her she has a baby sister, her name is Melody. She said, “That’s my little sister, where’s my baby sister?”  And then I promptly changed the subject. Smile Then Melody started asking me the same thing, which I would also change the subject too. So we really wanted them to be their when we found out. They got to see all the arms and legs and all the cute extremities of this baby. I think they really understood  what was going on, plus asking a TON of questions. Everything looks great, heart is beating healthy, all 10 fingers and toes are there. The baby was bent in half for most of it. Like feet by it’s head and knees in it’s face, I was getting a kick out of that. Then the tec told us it was a girl! The girls were jumping up and down and Melody did her “girl dance,” that’s what she called it. Smile  Some other great news we heard was that the placenta was well out of the way! That was a miracle, all the statistics and articles I read I knew the odds were not in my favor. Especially with having a history of placenta previa and a c-section, I had 2 strikes against me. My doctor is all for a VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean), but they will not induce me (I’m too high a risk of uterin rupture). So I need to go into labor on my own, which I’ve yet to do with any of my children. I still need to ask my doctor how far past my due date he’ll let me go, because I KNOW I will go over. But right now I’m just going to keep educating myself and staying positive. I KNOW my body can do this! So I need to dust off my bows and frilly baby clothes and get ready for this cute girl to come!

Handy Brian

We gave our "drop area" in our house a face lift.

Before
After

We really love it. It gives us so many more hooks, plus a bunch at the kids level so they can take and hang their coats up by themselves. The only down side was the vinyl lettering took the paint underneath it off! I've never had that happen before. It just makes me hate the brown paint even more than I already do. Great job moose! He did it all! You're amazing!
