One Year Older and Wiser Too!

Happy 21st Birthday to me!

(OK so I'm 21 with 5 years experience ;)

We didn't do too many exciting things but Brian was great to come home with a cake and flowers for me. And we tried the new Chinese restaurant in Eagle Mountain.
Plus our good friends the Greenwoods and the Colliers came over for cake and ice cream.

But all I wanted for my birthday was paint, and paint I got!

I painted the girls bathroom RED! Still need to do the ceiling tho...

And our bathroom Cream sickle Orange! (I know I still need to do the ceiling too)

And our bedroom has transformed! It went from this...

To this....

To THIS!!!

I love it!

And I got this great desk off of KSL Classifieds. Thanks Brian for driving all the way to Layton to get it for me! :)
It was a great Birthday, I love all the calls and texts from everyone. It's so good to know so many people love you.

What we've been up to...

Lovin our Pooh Bears (and counting down until Disneyland, 38 days!)
Waking up with AMAZING bedhead!
Playing on sisters bed, oh no now mom has evidence!
And having sweeping parties!
In case you were curious :)

80 years young!

Happy 80th Birthday to Grandma Chapman!
A few weeks ago we celebrated my Grandma's 80th Birthday! For her present my dad and I took her shopping. We'll I took her shopping and my dad just kind of followed us around :) We found her a very cute spring outfit then took her to Geckos for dinner. But a week later my cousins and aunts and uncles threw her a surprise party. They pulled it off and she was surprised! Can you tell I have a little bit of my grandma in me? I definitely got my blonde hair from her and being a little bit out spoken :)
I love my grandma, she's the only grandma I've ever had and growing up with her was great! So many memories of sleepovers at her house and playing games.
Love you tons Grandma!

Happy St. Pattys!

So St. Patrick's Day really snuck up on me this year and I had NOTHING fun planned. So I decided to improvise on the spot.
I found banana pudding in the pantry and added green food coloring.
Painted some bread with milk mixed with food coloring.

And this!
So here was my thought process....I should make green eggs and ham....wait no ham.....what goes with eggs?????? Hash browns......no hash browns, but I do have potatoes! So I grated up some potatoes added green and tried to cook them. They were terrible! One big rubbery mess. But the rest of dinner was good and the kids ate so well! Oh and they also had green milk which they asked for again tonight. If this gets us through dinner with out fights I might pull out the food coloring more often.

A Fat Quarter is not a body part!

It's crazy what a few fat quarters can do for your bed.
This was our bed before....
And after! And this whole project cost me under $20!
Now to do the accent wall behind my bed. I'm thinking of doing an aqua blue color. What do you think?

Happy Birthday Mama Sita!

Happy Birthday to the best mom I've ever had! :)
Your great! So willing to help when you can, all your grand daughters adore you! I'm so glad your my mom and my friend!
I hope you had a great 50 (cough cough) birthday!

Big Girl!

Yes melody is in a big girl bed! She's only 18 months but we had the bed and thought, what the heck, we'll try. She still stays in it and calls for us when she wakes up. (Don't know how long that will last!)

Her bed looks sooooo small in her big room. Story: I made this quilt before I met Brian. It was on my bed until I got married. Side note: I made Elise's quilt on her bed before I met Brian I guess deep down I knew I'd have 2 girls. Anyways I've had this bedding for years waiting until my 2nd daughter would be in a bed. I even matched the paint in her room to go with the quilt. Brian and I have always thought toddler beds are a waste of money, no offense to those who have one. But this one feel into our laps so were using it. Where was I going with this story....oh so I'm kind of bummed that you can't see all of the quilt with the toddler bed, I wasn't planning that 7 years ago when I made it. But since the bed cost us nothing I'm dealing with it!
Sooooo Happy!

Cute sisters! They are both growing up waaaaay to fast!
