First Day of Kindergarten

Elise started Kindergarten! Craziness! She is getting so big and mature. She was pretty stoked for school.

Especially when she found this backpack! So cute. She's worn it for about a week straight. Plus she insisted I take a picture of it. :)

Such a sweet girl, my big helper, and my most favorite Elise in the world! She had a great first day and can't wait to go back tomorrow.

Prom 2011!

So AWESOME!

I know you're all jealous of our fantastic outfits! Go on a covet us and our awesomeness! A bunch of husbands in our neighborhood arranged a surprise prom their wives. The rule was you had to get your outfit from DI or Savers. When I found this pant suit I just couldn't pass it up! About 30 couples met at Olive Garden (dressed so amazing!) and then we did some Lazer Tag (ya, were cool like that) and went to the church for the dance. It was so fun to just be silly with a bunch of grown ups. It was fun to see the look on some peoples faces as we were at Olive Garden. I'm going to put it on out "Top 10 Best Dates Ever!" category. :) I have the best husband in the world!

Toot Toot!

Did you hear that? That was me tooting my own horn :) I'm always up for a fun craft and decided Ray needed a boyish mobile for his room. So I took the pink and ruffles off the mobile and made a new canopy that was bright and fit for a boy. When I put him in his crib he LOVED it, and gets excited every time he sees it. Ok I'm done tooting now. (Ok that kind of sounded gross!)

Happy Birthday Brian!

Brian's birthday was on Saturday, the 20th. We were at East Canyon on his birthday. But guess who forgot the camera......Yours truly! So the only picture I have from our weekend is from Brian's phone. For his birthday he got some great clothes from Old Navy, and a new orange tie. With a matching one for Baby Ray :) Don't they look so cute together! Sorry I mean cool, cool together. :) (I learned from having 3 brothers you never refer to them as cute, they are cool:)

So Happy Birthday Brian! Congrats you're now "in your 30's" :)

You are such a great man, father and husband. So proud and privileged to have you as my moose. You keep life interesting, always on the go with a new challenge for yourself or our family. Thanks for putting us first and the Lord. I wish I could give you more for your birthday, because you deserve it!

Happy Birthday Melody!

Happy Birthday Melody!!!!!

She had a GREAT birthday! Starting out with a Hello Kitty shirt!

Then my 2 big helpers helped make her cake.

Tada! Pretty cool huh! I can't take credit for the flowers, my friend Kristy did those. Thanks a million for your help.

For her birthday dinner the plan was to go to Pirate Island in Orem, until the day before her birthday it caught on fire! We were all pretty bummed, but Melody decided that Artic Circle would be fun too.:)

Presents!

Melody is such a spunky girl! I love her personality, how kind and loving she can be. She loves to help mommy whenever I let her. Can't imagine life without her. :)

Ray @ 2 months

Height: 23.8 inches (75%)
Weight: 11.8 lbs (50%)
Head: 15.5 inches (50%)

Such a big boy!

Who'd Have Thunk it!

I know this is a horrible picture of me, Elise took it, But it shows my pretty white teeth that I had crowned back in January. I've loved having gorgeous teeth again. When I went up to girls camp on Monday I was enjoying some yummy Carmel corn made by my friend when I bit into what I thought was a pop corn kernel. Until I pulled it out and realized it was a tooth! Then I realized it was MY tooth! I was able to stick it back in but it was really easy to pull back out. Luckily I wasn't staying the night at Girls Camp so when I left around lunch time I called my wonderful visiting teacher Trish, who's husband is a dentist in Eagle Mountain. I asked if he could glue it back in for me. She said sure, and a few hours later I dropped my kids off with her and I drove him to his office for a fast fix, or so I thought. He was closed that day and all weekend for the 24th of July, but made an exception for me.:) We went in and he did some test to see if my dead tooth underneath had any cavities, and it did, while he was testing it we heard his front door to the office open. Ooop he forgot to lock the door behind us. The woman that had just come in was crying, the dentist asked what she needed. She kept saying she was in a lot of pain, then she said her son was killed last week!? HUH? So the Dentist got up to go talk to her and recognized her, she was one if his patients and remembered hearing about her son on the news last week. He asked if I could wait a sec and let her come on back. The poor woman was cry and said she didn't have the money right now to get anything fixed, he looked at her teeth and did some x-rays. She needed a root canal, but he said he'd just patch it and give her a prescription. But told her when everything in her life settled down she needed to come back in to get the full repair done. We both felt so bad for her, I'm sure she was hurting every way possible, my dentist friend was glad he could at least take some of her pain away. I can't imagine what she is going through. It wasn't until later that night I started to put things together. If my tooth hadn't fallen out, I wouldn't have asked the dentist in my ward to fix it, we wouldn't have been in the office when she tried to come by, and she wouldn't have gotten the relief she needed. The Lord works in mysterious ways, sometimes it's not until 5 years later that we understand why things happened. After I connected things, it made the "inconvenience" of my tooth falling out ok with me. :)

Mountain Marathon

Brian did his first Mountain Marathon on Saturday. It was up at Soldier Hollow, it is of course the same length as a marathon, but it's in the mountains with 3,000 feet of vertical. Yup......he's NUTS!

We arrived with out a minute to spare. We walked to the finish line and Brian came around the corner, good thing we didn't have any delays or we would have missed him!

He finished in 4 hours and 45 minutes! His goal was to be under 6 hours, I think he blew that one out of the water! He placed 4th in his age catagory and 20th over all.

This is Brian's crazy running friend Eric. I know, I was shocked too when I found out there is more of these crazy's out there! :)

They had this pool with cold water and ice in it. So the guys decided to soak their legs in it. Pretty good idea.

Brian did so good, he's only wobbing around a little this morning. Great job Moose!

Elise is 5!

My Elise is 5! Craziness! We had a great day, treating Elise like the birthday girl.

Starting with a Hello Kitty shirt.

Her Rapunzel cake, ya I made it.....from an idea in my head!
I think I'm going to keep trying this idea, buying the toys they want and putting it on their cake. It's a win, win situation for them.

Make a wish!

Presents!

We asked her where she wanted to eat for her birthday, she decided on Texas Roadhouse! Not Artic Circle or McDonald's like a normal 5 year old. What can I say, she has expensive taste ;)

Elise is such an amazing girl. She had her 5 year/Kindergarten check up today. She's 41lbs and 45 inches tall. 90% for height and 50% for weight. The NP said she's perfect! So she has some moments of imperfection, but who doesn't. It's crazy she starts school in less than a month, she's sooooooo excited. She is mommy's big helper, always willing to help with Ray and Melody. I let her put the laundry away the other day and that made her day! I need to let her help more often. :) We love you soooooo much Elise!
