What we've been up to.....

I knew you were wondering what the Wells' have been up to. Well here we go..........

Ray is big enough and holding himself up enough to be in our car/bouncer/thingy. He loves it, for the most part. :)
Melody didn't get dressed today until about 1. What can I say, I pick my battles. She's our Little sass! :)

Elise is loving Kindergarten. They had red ribbon week this week. Today was crazy hair day. She said she wanted 14 pony tails. But I add a little twist. ;)

Ray is a rollin' fool now! He rolled over to his back for the first time and then back to his stomach 10 seconds later! He now trying to scoot too! Oh boy, am I in trouble or what!?

Life's been pretty entertaining around here. :D

I'm coming clean......:)

Hi, my name is Ann and I'm a "coupon er." Yes yes, I'm one of "those" people you dread being behind in line. I have a binder, with dividers so I can keep them all organized and pretty. I get several newspapers, just for the coupons. I've never read any of the newspapers we get. But I do make sure they go into the recycling! I try not to clear the shelves at stores, unless it's a scream in deal, then it's every man for themselves. :) I was introduced to this addicting hobby about a year ago by my friend Katie, at the time I just found out I was pregnant and lacked all motivation and energy to start anything. I think I was more discouraged to start, so I put it on the back burner. I was noticing how much great stuff my friends were getting, and building up a good stock pile. I knew having a baby would mean buying diapers and eventually formula. And I didn't know how I would make that work since we were barley getting by. So about 2 months after Ray was born I asked my friend Tammy to "hold my hand" and help me start the process. I thought it would be so hard and frustrating, but I was wrong. It was kind of tricky at first, but I feel like I'm getting the hang of it. Our fridge, pantry (and we have a huge one!), cold storage and freezer are pretty full. I love to just look at it sometimes. I'm spending about the same amount but getting about twice as much! Ray's closet is full of diapers and wipes, he's in a size 2 right now and I've started buying size 4's because were so stocked up on 2's and 3's! All of them I got at about 1/2 price. We have about 8 cans of formula sitting in our pantry that I got at about 1/2 the price too. We've got cereal, granola bars, soap, toothpaste, chicken nuggets, frozen veggies, pizza, yogurt and so much more! This has been such a blessing. Who knew saving money could be so addicting! So I'm sorry for those people who get stuck behind me in the check out line. but I'm saving my family a ton of money! :)

Little Mermaid Surprise!

This year at Tuachan they were doing The Little Mermaid. I'd heard great things about it, so I bought tickets for it 2 months ago. We decided to not tell the girls about it, mainly so they wouldn't ask everyday if it was today. (All you parents know what I'm talking about.) I checked Elise out of school and told her we were going on a trip to St. George. She thought that was pretty neat, and Grandma Nina was coming too! When we got to St. George Beth and Brett we there waiting for us. (my girls love Beth and Brett, it's almost a tie!) I asked Elise where she wanted to go for dinner. (I already knew the answer) She jumped up and down and said, "Texas Roadhouse! So I can throw peanut shells on the floor!"

I know she's got great taste! After dinner we brought them back to the house we were staying at and told them we were going to see Ariel in the Little Mermaid! This was their reaction. Priceless!

I bought them Little Mermaid Jammie's to wear to the show since it doesn't get over until 10:30. Can you see the excitement!

Waiting for the show to start.

They got to meet Ariel and Eric after the show. She was such a great Ariel!

Brian was such a great sport. They don't allow children under 2 in the theater so Brian hung back at the house we were staying at with Ray. They had some good ole father son bonding time.

The play Rocked our world! They did so many great effects, and the singing and dancing was great! It was worth it when I saw the joy in my girls faces.

A grown up room!

Since we've lived in our house our front room has been our toy room. When we moved in we didn't have any furniture for it so we thought we'd put it to good use. Although it was nice to have the kids play right there, that was also a problem to have them right there! These last few months the toys have been EVERYWHERE. I've even found them in the kitchen pantry!? So about a week ago I snapped! And as Brian described it, I DECLARED that the toys were going into the finished room in the basement. Brian was all for it, but it would still be an empty room because we still didn't have furniture for it. I looked on KSL Classifieds very discouraged because car repairs have sucked us dry of any excess money. Then a light bulb went off in my head, we have a couch! It's been in Brian's parents basement for a few years. It's not a super nice or pretty couch but I don't have room to be picky at the moment. So I decided to make it a front room/library.

The best part, I haven't spent a dime on this room! The couch is an old one, the big bookcase was in our bedroom, the little bookcase has always been in there and the toy box, (I decided to keep the kids books up here and the toy box with a few toys. Mainly if we ever have friends over and their kids are too little to go up and down the stairs. And for Ray too.) and the piano was free! The mirror was my mom's, and she was going to DI it. So I took it and spray painted the wood black. The blue paint and ceiling paint we've just had from other projects. I do need a little more, but I will get more eventually. Ok so I did have to buy a little bit of fabric and stuffing for the pillows.
The stars and picture frames I've had for years. I do feel like it needs a rug or coffee table, and we will get one eventually.

This piano is from a family friend of ours that was going to DI it. Brian happened to have mentioned to my mom we were looking for a piano, but didn't have a lot of money to spend. My mom mentioned it to my brother Jason and he knew his mother in law was getting rid of hers. So he called us and we took it off her hands about 2 days later. It really needs to be tuned, but when it's free paying to have it tuned isn't a big deal. It helps to tell people when your looking for a deal. Thanks Mom, Jason, and Lorrie! And Grandpa Glen and Potter for helping us move it.

I LOVE having a front room. I haven't picked up a toy in weeks! I feel it's really simplified my life. Plus it's always nice to have a "pretty room" when people come to visit. I told Brian we now have a room to put the Christmas tree without having to completely rearrange the room. Ahhh, life is good. :)

Happy 4 Month Day!

Our Ray Ray is 4 months old!

He had his 4 month appointment, and I was shocked at his stats!

Height: 26.6 inches (95%+)

Weight: 15.3 lbs (90%)

Head: 17.2 inches (90%)

DANG! I knew he was big, but I have been questioning if he's getting enough. I guess this proves he's doing just fine. :)

I LOVE this age, I love starting solids. I love watching their faces as they figure out what to do with this stuff. I think it's such a fun way to bond with your baby. I love putting them on a blanket and letting them roll around. They still aren't quiet mobile so life is pretty good ;)

He is quiet the "Little Brian," in many ways.

Ray was fussing while he was on the floor, so the girls gave him all the stuff that helps them feel better. Poor guys is surrounded by girl stuff. Still a sweet gesture. :)
