Oh Christmas was great! Elise was really enjoying the presents and all the family. She loved opening presents that were hers and not hers! Melody was an angel as usual. So here are some pictures to enjoy.
This is what Melody got for Christmas, I couldn't get it to go into the slide show because technology hates me!

Family party's

This last Saturday we had 2 family christmas parties. Need less to say it was a long day! But it was great to see the families and catch up with each other. I know I suck at remembering to take pictures, so I only got one from the Wells christmas party. Brian sang the Innkeeper song from the Forgotten Carols for his family, and did a marvelous job. My mom and I were in charge of the Chapman Christmas party. It was really fun, we had Santa, read The Night Before Christmas, reinacted the nativity and played games. Everything went great. It was a really fun day. So here are some pics to enjoy.

Time for Cereal!

Oh how I love this stage! I'm always so giddy when my kids get to start solids. I think it is the best stage! I love watching their little faces try and figure out what to do with this stuff in their mouth. Melody is doing really well with it though. She had a hard time the first week we did it but it's now clicking. I know some parents don't like the mess but I think it's well worth it!

Happy 4 month day, is that the right way to say it?

Melody turned 4 months yesterday!
My baby is getting so big! Melody had her 4 month appointment yesterday and she is doing great! She is in the 50% for head and weight (which she's been in since she was born) but she jumped to 95% for height! (she was in 75% before) Not a huge surprise she got so long when you look at her sister. But everything looks great, the doctor just loved how happy she was. She didn't stop smiling until she got her shots at the end. She's almost grown out of her 3-6 months clothes (well length wise she has, she's still is just a stick) She's only rolled over once but the doctor said it's not a big deal if they haven't yet. But other than rolling over she is doing all the things a 4 month old should be doing.
So here are the stats:
Height: 25.8 inches
Weight: 13.2 lbs
Head: 16 inches

Awesome News/Oh Dear

So the awesome news is...drum roll please :)..... Brian has a new job! He's been working with Land Equity Partners in Park City for the last 2 1/2 years but with the way the real estate market has been Brian decided to look for another job. So he has accepted a job offer with Omniture, located in Orem as a Financial Analyst. Were very excited about this new opportunity for Brian to get more experience to further his career. He does have one semester left at the U so this next semester will oober suck for him. But in the long run it will be great. So we are starting to look at houses in Eagle Mountain/Saratoga Springs but we still won't be going any where for a few more months. Brian is still planning on consulting for Land Equity Partners part time, but that means he will be working full time at Omniture, part time for LEP and finishing his masters. Can we say biting off more than you can chew!? So I will be a single mother for a while :)
Now for the Oh dear part. So I'm still nursing Melody, she's almost 4 months old. And I admit that I nurse in front of Elise, it's just too hard to always be covered and Melody eats better when I don't put the hooter hider over her. So as you can tell by this picture Elise is "feeding" her baby. 2 days ago she sat next to me holding her baby doll and before I knew it she lifted her shirt and proclaimed she was feeding her baby! I thought it was kind of funny, but I hope I haven't messed her up too much. I love how Elise loves to be like mommy all the time, I just didn't think about the whole nursing part. :) Oh well.

Merry Christmas!

Snow Days

l

We we are officially in winter time. It snowed a ton yesterday, and since we live on the benches we get more than the rest of the valley. This year I bought Elise all the snow gear so she can really get into it. So this morning we walked to the post office and then enjoyed the snow. I taught her how to make snowballs. It was kind of funny she thought you could only make snowballs in the in the spot where I had made them so she kept going back to that spot. Melody has a little fuzzy suit on too, and she really had no other choice but to love it. I enjoy my girls everyday and I love it that I get to stay home and play with them everyday!

Just an update

Sorry for such a negative post the other day, things are a ton better now. It has finally clicked for Elise and life is great! I'm still afraid to take her places but I think I will get over that phobia soon. She is such a big girl now! I'm so proud of her. When we started potty training we were using this "3 day method" and by day 3 I was oober frustrated. But after Brian went back to work and it was just me she really made a huge improvement. I think it helped to just have one person helping her not two. I'm thinking we were giving her mixed signals so we were just confusing the heck out of her. Poor thing. (Also no offense to Brian, I love you sweetie!) But she's gone a full 24 hours with out an accident! (knock on wood)

Potty Time

Sorry I've kind of been M.I.A. this week. Thanksgiving went well, we slept over at my parents the night before and had shipwreck for breakfast. (Yum!) Then we took Elise to see Madagascar 2. She loved the first one so we thought we would give it a try. It wasn't as good as the first and it didn't keep her attention very well either. Oh well we tried. Then for dinner we went to Brian's Aunt and Uncles house, all the food was enjoyable as usual. So the day after Thanksgiving normal people shop, we are not in that category! We started potty training! So that's all we've been doing the last 4 days. And I got to tell ya, I HATE IT! no I LOATH IT! I haven't been able to get ready, cook, go any where or pretty much do anything. Elise bless her heart is some what trying it's just not connecting still. And man am I so sick of cleaning up pee! I know it will be worth it in the end. I just wish I had a remote so I could fast forward through this crap, and I really do mean crap! Sorry I'm being to negative, I'm trying to be better. I'm a lot better with Elise so I have to have an outlet somewhere! But I'll stop talking now, if you even read it this far. I hope you have a wonderful day.
P.S. Please pray for me! :)
P.P.S. Sorry no pictures, but I don't think you want to be seeing what I've been seeing the last few days!
