Smart Girl

So here's some video of Elise doing the alphabet. We didn't do the whole alphabet because that would take forever and she still is 22 months old so her attention span is short. But here are a few letters, she really does know the whole alphabet. (In case you were wondering) Also please try and disregard my Buddha belly. :) For the record though I'm measuring right on schedule, which is sad too because I'm already feeling huge! Also we find out in 3 weeks if the placenta has "migrated" aka: If I have to have a c-section. I did just have a dream though that I did have to have one! Yikes! So that's the scoop on me.

My Big Girl

Elise has been so adorable these last few weeks I just had to brag about my girl. A few weeks ago we discovered Elise knew her letters (well about 80% of them, but that's good for a kid that's not even 2 yet!) At Brian's parents house they have some letters on a wall that spells Wells, Elise looked at them and said, "W." So I pointed to the rest of the letters and she knew them! So when we got home I pulled out my alphabet flashcards and drilled her and was shocked that she knew so much! She also knows the alphabet in sign language too! I wish I could take credit for my genius daughter but I can't, I haven't been working with her at all. So now this week we've started potty training. We've only been doing this for about 2 days and man I didn't realize how hard it is. Yesterday (the first day) she went in the potty once (yeah!), but by the end of the day I was exhausted! I wasn't sure how much longer I could do this. But today she went in the potty twice! I'm so proud of her, but the funny thing is she didn't care about the rewards (you know like a sticker or a sucker) she wanted to read her books. Silly girl. She really has been maturing so much. Her speaking improves daily and lately she's been obsessed with the Baby Einstein's "Meet the Orchestra" she loves to see and say all the instruments (who knew!) I love my girl so much and I am so proud of her and all of her remarkable accomplishments!

Congrats Jason and Jen

On our way home from Disneyland we made a few days detour to Mesa Arizona so we could be their when Jason Wells (Brian's brother) graduated from law school. It's been a hard/long 4 years for Jason and his wife Jen (I know Jason was the one going to school but it's still really hard on the wife too). Were so proud that they have come this far and accomplished such a ginormous goal! While we were there they had some huge news for the family too. Jason has got a job working with malpractice stuff. (Sorry it's all just legal mumbo jumbo to me.) But it's great that he has a job. Also they have been in the adoption pool for about 2 months now and a birth mother has picked them! The baby is due July 18th, and it's a boy. When they told us I had soooo many emotions running through me, excitement to panic (I only have about 2 months to get a quilt done for them!) Brian, Elise and I are so happy for them that everything is coming together. I'm happy that Elise will finally have a boy cousin too. We love you guys and can't wait for July to come.

Disney!

Well we survived Disneyland! It was such a great trip, and Elise was soooooo great. She loved the Winnie the Pooh ride (I think she rode it about 5 times) and Dumbo she just couldn't get enough of them. The new Finding Nemo ride was really cool, it's a really long ride but kept Elise's attention the whole time. (Beleive me that is a huge accomplishment!) She was my buddy since I couldn't ride the roller coasters etc. We had a 5 day pass, I thought that would be a little too much Disney for me but it really was just right. We didn't need to rush to try and get all the rides in we wanted. We were able to ride a lot of them twice. Elise would get excited to see the characters from a distance but once we were up close she wasn't quiet sure what to think of them. It was the best trip! So here are a bunch of photos and some video I hope you enjoy them. Also Thanks Mike and Launa (AKA Potter and Gamma) for footing the bill for the majority of the trip, you guys are awesome and we really need a trip like this one. We love you guys!
